2. Processing purpose and data to be collected
The data processing is required to organize individual events and contact participants. For these purposes, the following data is collected: title, first name, last name, e-mail address, postal address, affiliate organization/university, country.
 
3. Legal basis for processing
The legality of the data processing is based on the consent given according to Art. 6 subsection 1 S. 1 lit. a) GDPR.
 
4. Necessity of the provision of personal data
No individual is required by law or by contract to provide personal data. However, we cannot process any event registration where the necessary data is not provided.

6. Duration of storage
The duration of storage of this particular data is five years at maximum.
 
7. Rights
Every person affected by data processing has the following rights in particular:
  • Right of access regarding the personal information stored relevant to them and ist processing according to Art. 15 GDPR 
  • Right to rectification, if data concerning them is wrong or incomplete, according to Art. 16 GDPR
  • Right to erasure, if one of the requirements according to Art. 17 GDPR is met
  • Right to restriction of processing, if one of the requirements according to Art. 18 GDPR is met
  • Right to data portability to a different responsible office and information regarding stored personal data in a machine-readable format, according to Art. 20 GDPR
  • Right to object to future processing of your personal data, according to Art. 21 GDPR
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time according to Art. 7 subsection 3 GDPR. The withdrawal of consent can only apply to the future and does not have an effect on processes which took place before the withdrawal of consent was received by the office responsible for the data processing. 
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority according to Art. 13 subsection. 2lit. d) GDPR, if the affected person is convinced their personal data was processed unlawfully:
